No number of words can describe the uneven geographic distribution as clearly as this one picture.
The map on SFGate’s site is interactive—by clicking on a marker you get the details of the particular homicide plus a link to the SFGate story about it.
Very sad.

I think it's absolutely astounding in this day and age that as a nation we tolerate 20-25,000 murders a year. And I think it's abominable that murders in SF are fairly well clustered, yet no one seems to understand that with a pattern like this one, prevention could work wonders. Thanks for bringing this subject up. r.s.
what is the common issue here. $$$$$
The visual certainly tells the story if you know the city.
